The 3D laser scanner for feature measurement
The XC50-LS is a multi-camera 3D laser scanner with long stand-off distance for CMM-based feature inspection and reverse engineering.
The patented cross scanner technology combines three laser stripes into a single sensor, enabling efficient 3D laser scanning of features such as holes and slots without having to re-orientate the 3D laser sensor. With its 180 mm stand-off distance the XC50-LS enables 3D scanning into deep pockets and over clamps.
Key Features
- Patented multi-stripe, multi-angle 3D laser scanner viewing 3 laser stripes from 3 angles
- Scan speed at 25 lines/second
- User controlled camera and laser scanner settings
- Auxiliary laser spot indicates field of view
- Use XC50-LS Cross 3D laser scanner as LC50 laser scanner
- Long stand-off distance for 3D digitizing over clamps
Key Benefits
- No re-orientation during scanning:
- No need for an extra C-axis
- Faster cycle time
- Improved 3D scanning of (shiny) materials
- Cross scanner and line scanner in one probe
- Long stand-off enables:
- Scanning over fixture clamps
- Measuring inside deep pockets
- Faster and more accurate scanning saves money and time
- Ergonomic, light and small scanner
- Portable out-of-the box system
- Easy and fast plug & play set-up
- Designed for use in all shop floor conditions
- Optimized for hard-to-scan surfaces
Applications
- Car bodies
- Gap and flush
- (Clamped) sheet metal parts
- Castings (with deep pockets)
